Problems with Plugable USB 3 docking station

Hello, I recently purchased a Plugable USB 3 docking station. I am having problems with the dock when it is connected via USB 3.0. The drive will appear and disappear over and over again. If switched to a USB 2.0 cable it works just fine. I know there were some problems with this in the past. Not sure what I can do to fix this though.

Thanks for posting here! The most common cause for disconnects while connecting the Plugable USB3-SATA-U3 through USB 3.0 (both cable and port) is a faulty USB 3.0 Cable. So we’d like to send you a tested good cable from here.

If the root cause of the issue is a bad cable, the replacement will fix the issue. If you continue to see the issue with the replacement cable, we can rule out a bad USB 3.0 cable and troubleshoot more to figure out what is causing the issue and how to resolve it.
