Problem with downloading USB to Serial Adapter on a MAC.

I’m trying to download the USB to Serial adapter on my MAC, operating system is 10.12.6 Sierra. I’m going into plugable.com/drivers/prolific/ and going through the download process, it shows a successful download and re-starts my MAC. After it comes back up, nothing, the installation process stops. I’ve tried numerous times with no luck, any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Thank you for contacting us about your serial adapter. I’m sorry about the problems getting it installed on your Mac. It is compatible with Sierra, so there is probably some issue interfering.

Could you do a quick check of something for me?

  1. Open a terminal window.

  2. Issue this command command and let me know the result:

ls /dev/ | grep usbserial
