Problem with Bootcamp Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and NVIDA

I’m running the Plugable UGA-2K-A driver on my 17 inch unibody macbook pro on bootcamp running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. I’m using it to run two Acer 23 inch LED monitors and, for the most part, the system works well. That being said, every time that the display goes to sleep and I wake it back up, it flashes 4-5 times and then starts working with a box in the bottom right hand corner that says the NVIDIA Display Hardware stopped working but has recovered. Not sure if there are any settings that I can tweak to get this to stop happening or if you have any suggestions but I figured I would ask.

Thank you for your assistance and for the great product.

Here’s the exact message: Display driver stopped responding and has recovered – Display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 188.61 stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for posting here! In the past updating the Primary GPU drivers to the latest one has solved this issue. So the first thing I would recommend is upgrading to the latest NVIDIA drivers.

Do post back and let us know if updating the drivers fixed the issue or not.
