Problem on installing VGA Adapter

When adding the device to a computer I am getting the message…
Overlapped I/O operation is in progress.
And when I click OK, the 2nd display does show anything.

model: USB-VGA-165

Hello Randy,

I am sorry to hear this. To make a long and complicated story short, this is happening because of an error that sneaked in from a particular Windows update (please take a look at: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/vsnetsetup/ar… + http://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-…).

Possible fixes are to uninstall the problem KB/Windows update (based on the comments you might have to uninstall 1 - 3 updates https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkVan… but it was not always successful) or to clear a special cache where hash authentication takes place (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/wi…).

This is not a common problem and I personally suggest to reinstall the operating system to save time and frustration. For further troubleshooting I would also suggest to continue conversation directly (support@plugable.com) since this forum does not support attachments.

Kind regards,
Patric
