Pro8 linux support

I recently came into possession of one of these Pro8 Docking Stations and I wanted to share that this device does in fact work in Linux - video, sound, and USB. The only thing I have yet to try is the network port.

This probably has to do with the Pro8 is a USB2.0 device, and DisplayLink offers source code drivers for 2.0 video chips. The Pro8 is listed as having a DL-165 in it.

The dock also works as a multiseat terminal for those who need to use it that way.

Thanks for sharing with us! Which Linux distro have you chosen to run with your computer that the dock is attached to?

Best wishes,
