PRO8 INDICATOR LIGHTS NOT LIT..

PRO8 DOCKING STATION: NO GREEN LIGHT WHEN ALL USB CONNECTIONS ARE MADE & WORKING. I DON’T SEE WHERE THE INDICATOR LIGHT IS LOCATED. ONLY BLUE LIGHT IS ON.

Hi Mike,

Is the dock functioning properly aside from this?

What tablet are you using?

Best wishes.

The Dell Venue 8 pro I’m using had a complete warranty overhaul & is up to spec. All attached devices are properly listed & appear to be operational without any quirks. Only the blue led is indicating a charge state & is working as advertised. I’ve connected devices such as card readers, external antennae, external blue-ray burner, both directly & via a powered 2.0 hub without any change in status indication by a green led or change in performance. I can’t see where the led is located anyway. The use of a 2nd monitor is only possible as an extension & not as a duplicate.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the update. Currently the Pro8 cannot duplicate the tablet screen to the external monitor, only extended mode is supported due to driver limitations of the Intel HD Graphics chipset used in the Dell Venue 8 Pro.

The green LED is under the blue LED and is supposed to illuminate when a USB device is connected to the docking station. I can contact you directly via email to collect some information and we could try sending a pretested replacement unit.

For now I’m going to close this thread so keep an eye out for my direct email.

Thanks.
