Printer and Other USB Devices Not Connecting via Hub. Connects to Macbook when Plugged Directly Into Macbook

I have a Macbook Air M2 (2022). When I plug my printer into my Macbook directly it shows as connected and “online.” When I connect to either the front or back USB ports my Macbook can no longer connect to the printer and shows as “Offline.” I’ve tried restarting the Macbook, unplugging the dock and disconnecting from Macbook, but nothing seems to work. This also applies to my iPhone or any other USB device, almost as if these USB ports do not work at all. Please advise as I would like to avoid having to plug my printer or any other device into the computer directly, defeating the purpose of why I purchased this dock.

Hi Scott,

Thank you for contacting Plugable! I am sorry to hear that your docking station is not functioning as expected with your printer, and would be happy to provide additional support.

To help diagnose the issue, may I ask you to please keep the device connected to your laptop and everything still attached (even if not working as expected) and send us the output of our diagnostic utility PlugDebug? → https://plugable.com/pages/plugdebug

Once you have the logs, simply send an email to support@plugable.com with the subject line of “Ticket 400755” so that we can prioritize that case and match it to this inquiry.

If you could provide your Amazon Order ID (or other proof of purchase) associated with your Plugable device, I would be happy to check on your warranty status as well.

Thank you for giving us the chance to help!
