Power Save mode using docking station

90% of the time my adapter works great, but every so often (using all Dell products: laptop, 2 monitors & docking station) when I disconnect my laptop from the docking station, Windows no longer registers the 2nd monitor connected via the Plugable adapter. It immediately goes into power save mode.

I have to restart Windows in order to fix it. Is there a workaround?

As a first troubleshooting step, can you see if an unplug/replug of the Plugable adapter works instead of a restart?

The next time this happens, please run the DisplayLink Support Tool and send it’s output, attention Jeff, to support@plugable.com with a link to this thread. With the additional details in the logs we should be able to recommend further steps.

Thanks Jeff. I’ll re-trigger the problem today or tomorrow and send the output. I’ve tried disconnecting the USB from my docking station and disconnecting the VGA cable from the adapter, all to no avail.
