Pluggable 2.0 Gigabit Ethernet adapter doesn't work with my Mac Air HELP!

I cannot get my Pluggable 2.0 Gigabit Ethernet adapter to work with my MacBook Air. I am running system 10.8.2 and have downloaded the latest drivers. Can you help? thanks Mark R
