I have a plugable USB-C triple monitor docking station with three monitors tie into it and then to my laptop. Out of nowhere all three monitors and my laptop screens turned black. When I unplug my laptop from the docking station it works fine
Hello Richblitz,
Thank you for contacting Plugable support! Sorry to hear about this issue. I’d be more than happy to assist you.
If you haven’t already done so, fully unplug the dock from all devices, power, and USB-C cable to the host computer. Fully turn off your computer and wait about 30-60 seconds. After logging back in then reconnect the power cable to the dock first, USB-C host cable next, and USB/all other devices last. Sometimes a reset in this order can resolve this kind of issue.
If the screens are still blacking out when connecting the dock then it is likely that there is some kind of video driver problem occurring and we’ll need to get a closer look at what’s going on. To do so we have a troubleshooting tool that helps us find out what is going on in situations like this. If able, please go to this page and follow the instructions there: http://plugable.com/support/plugdebug
When emailing us the diagnostics results to support@plugable.com please mention ticket 459741 in the subject line, do not post the diagnostics results here. This will help me to see if there are any driver or other problems that may be occurring and from there I can offer some next steps.
Please don’t hesitate to let us know of other questions.
Thanks again for contacting Plugable support and best wishes!
