Plugable USB-BT4LE Bluetooth 4.0 USB Adapter with Win 7 x64

Hi

After installing the drivers ofr the BT adapter, the device manager is showing a warning sign with:
“Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)”

I’m using Win7 x64. I did not have this issue with Win7 32 bits.

Can you please help?

Just to let everybody know I uninstalled and re-installed the drivers several times, still not working.

Hi Vincent,

Thank you for contacting us about this issue. I’m sorry you are having troubles getting this working.

Code 52 errors come up because the drivers that Windows is trying to use don’t match the information Windows uses to verify that they are genuine. It can occur because one of the drivers is corrupted, impartially downloaded, or the mechanism Windows uses to verify them is broken in some way.

The first step in understanding what is happening with your computer is to get the logs that will show which file Windows is identifying as corrupted. It may not be one of the ones that got uninstalled and reinstalled. We should be able to find out from the log.

We have a troubleshooting tool that will download the logs. Could you go to this page and follow the instructions there:

http://plugable.com/support/plugdebug

As soon as I get the logs, I’ll take a look at them and see if we can identify the file that is causing the trouble.

Thanks!
