Plugable USB Audio Adapter not seen as audio device

I have the plugable USB Audio Adapter plugged directly in to the RPi2. When I run ‘lsusb’ I see it listed as ‘C-Media Electronics, Inc.’

However, ‘aplay -l’ does not list any USB audio devices, just the ‘bcm2835’. I have tried different ports, rebooting, etc.

I am running Raspbian Jessie and am not sure where to start on this.

Hi Jason,

This usually happens when the involved config files have been edited, is this the case?

What happens when you reimage the SD card, and without editing any config files run aplay -l?
