Plugable USB 3.1 Gen 2 Tool-free NVMe Enclosure Drive is no longer recognized

XPG SX8200PNP 1TB nvme drive.

Worked for a couple months.

Now it is not recognized in BIOS or windows. Neither in enclosure nor installed on motherboard.

Other (Samsung 960EVO 256GB) nvme installed in enclosure is recognized.

How do I get the XPG nvme drive to work again?

Hello Kellee,

Thank you for contacting Plugable support! Sorry to hear about this issue. I’d be more than happy to assist you.

If the XPG drive no longer works in either the enclosure or the motherboard it sounds like that SSD may have failed. Since the Samsung SSD works properly in the enclosure, we know the enclosure is working correctly.

I’m not sure if there’s anything we can do other than recommend you contact XPG and see if they have any troubleshooting steps for their SSD.

Please don’t hesitate to let us know of other questions.

Thanks again for contacting Plugable support and best wishes!
