Plugable USB 3.0 Sharing Switch is not working - lights just flash, keyboard not recognized

The Plugable USB 3.0 Sharing Switch has been working fine since November 2016. I use it to switch a keyboard/mouse from a PC to a Surface Book Pro.

Currently the lights on the switch are flashing and the keyboard/mouse are not recognized.

Hardware
Standard gaming desktop PC
MS Surface Pro
Logitech G19 with power on and AZZA wired optical mouse plugged into usb port
