Plugable USB 3.0 Fuzzy Display

I just bought the Plugable USB 3.0 to VGA Adapter, and was able to install and configure the monitor, however, every now and then, the monitor goes fuzzy and then the picture clears.

Side note, I had the older version of this adapter for many years and have been working great.

Specs:
Windows 8
USB 2.0 (not 3.0)
Monitor: Dell UltraSharp U2312HM 23" IPS LED LCD Monitor - 16:9 - 8 ms

Thanks for reaching out to us, I am happy to answer your question regarding a fuzzy screen.

This fuzzy screen behavior can sometimes be caused by having an old DisplayLink driver. To resolve this, simply update the driver. Here are the steps to do this:

  1. Disconnect the adapter from the computer.

  2. Run the DisplayLink Cleaner tool to completely uninstall existing DisplayLink Software:

  3. Download driver v7.4 M0 from the below link and follow the installation prompts.

  4. Reboot the computer,

  5. Replug the power adapter to the computer. Allow several minutes for the driver to enumerate and for the firmware to complete upgrade.

Please let me know if this resolves the screen turning fuzzy then clearing.
