Are you connecting the printer to the front of the dock’s USB 3.0 ports or the rear USB 2.0 ports?

I’m assuming the printer works when directly attached to the laptop?

Thanks you so much for contacting me.
The printer is connected to a usb 2.0 port on the pluggable docking station; and yes it does work when connected directly to the computer.
Fortunately for me I turned the computer off overnight. The printer was recognized when I turned the pc on today. Turning the pc on/off yesterday didn’t help. I have no idea why it works now but it does.
