I just purchased a Plugable USB2 switch (2). I am trying to use it to switch a logitech mouse between two laptops. On my older computer it works without problem, however, on my newer computer (Dell Latitude E5250) I keep getting a USB Device not Recognized issue. When I go into System information it tells me that I have “Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)”. My device works without a problem when plugged directly into the laptop. Please advise!
If the Logitech mouse happens to be wireless one, I don’t think we can make a difference since the receiver does not play well with any USB switch. If you are however have a wired mouse, I can send you a pretested replacement unit to rule out hardware failure.
