Plugable USB 2.0 UGA Multi-Display Adapter not working

I received this product from Amazon this week, but it appears to be nonfunctional. The green light never lights up, and the monitor is never recognized by the computer.

Thanks for posting here, we’ll be able to help. Can you say a bit more about the system you have? What operating system and version are you running? What type of machine?

Hey, Jerome. I am running Mac OS X 10.7.4 (Lion) on a MacBook Pro with Intel HD Graphics 3000. I have tried two different versions of the DisplayLink driver – Mac 1.7 beta 2 and Mac 1.8 Alpha 1.

Green light never lights up on the Plugable adapter, and the monitor connected to it is never detected by the system. I have tried connecting the monitor via DVI as well as SVGA.

I am having a similar problem, except that my adapter did work (very well i might add) for a couple of months. Now the green light doesn’t come own and monitor isn’t recognized. I’ve switched monitors and cords to make sure that wasn’t the problem and everything else seems to be working fine.

I’m using a Dell with Windows 7.

Thanks for posting here! I’m sorry to know about the trouble you are having with one of the Plugable USB 2.0 Graphics Adapters.

Could you run the DisplayLink support tool (instructions here: http://plugable.com/support/displayli… ) and email the resulting .zip to support@plugable.com along with your Amazon Order ID and a link to this thread?

This would give us a better insight as to what is going on.

Once we analyze it, we can figure out the next steps.

For anyone having a similar problem, I have to say that Plugable Technologies was incredibly helpful! They responded immediately, diagnosed the problem quickly, and shipped a replacement to me – all within 24 hours! I am a big fan of PT products, but will buy again based simply on my positive customer service experience!
