Plugable USB 2.0 UGA doesn't work well with Dell Venue 8 Pro Win10... please

I have a Venue 8 Pro with Win10. I tried to connect it to a hdmi monitor using a Plugable USB 2.0 UGA, but it doesn’t work. When I plug the adapter to the tablet, it’s recognized correctly, but the monitor says that there’s no hdmi signal: why?? there’s a problem of compatibility or what?
I installed the driver correctly!!

problem solved!
it was due to the hdmi cable.

question: the Plugable support is excellent, but why anyone in this community answear to my question?

Just to confirm what Oscar mentioned:

This problem was due to an EDID (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extende…) problem. USB display adapters will not display without recognizing this EDID signal. This problem can be fixed by swapping out your existing video cable with a new (or different one) one.
