Plugable USB 2.0 to 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet LAN Network Adapter would work on Windows Server 2003?

What are my chances that Plugable USB 2.0 to 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet LAN Network Adapter would work on Windows Server 2003?

Hi Ken,

Thanks for your question. There are Windows 2003 64-bit drivers for the Plugable USB 2.0 Gigabit Ethernet adapter.

The adapter uses the ASIX AX88178 chipset. The drivers are available on the ASIX website at http://www.asix.com.tw/FrootAttach/dr…. This ZIP file contains the driver file to use when Windows sees that you’ve added new hardware to your computer.

If you’re running the 32-bit version of Windows 2003, let us know.

If you’re ever looking for any drivers for Plugable Technology products, we provide links to them on our website at http://plugable.com/drivers.

Let us know how the installation goes–especially if you need assistance during the process. We’re here to help.

Aaron,

I have tried to install a plugable use 3.0 on a rebuilt win server 2003 R2 poweredge 2950. I installed from the CD and then pluged in the USB. Nothing happens except I get the unknown device listed in the device manager. when I try to maually load the driver it does not see it, I am running 32 bit.

Any help is appreciated.
