Plugable UD-768PDZ not working with Insignia TVmodel NS-32D22ONA18

tried power cycles, diff hdmi cables, updating tv firmware (but no option in settings). Pretty much pointless to not be able to connect laptop to display. please advise thanks!

Thank you for contacting us at Plugable and I can assist with troubleshooting this issue with your Insignia TV not receiving a video from our UD-768PDZ docking station.

I have a few troubleshooting suggestions, could you please try these steps:

  1. The dock has 3 HDMI ports, please try HDMI 2 & 3 as well.
    1. HDMI 1 is an Alt Mode port for USB-C, not all laptops support USB-C Alt Mode. HDMI 2 &3 use Silicon Motion graphics which does not rely on USB-C Alt Mode.
  2. Please check if the USB-C cable is connected from your computer to the back of the dock. The USB-C port in the front of the dock is meant for accessories.
  3. Lets try manually installing the Silicon Motion graphics, please visit our download page here: https://plugable.com/pages/siliconmotion
    1. Restart your computer once the drivers are installed
