I recently received a UD-3000 for a gift and have been successful getting it to work when connected directly to my Dell laptop’s USB 2.0 ports. Video is, however, another thing with this arrangement.
I have had an IOGear SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ExpressCard for some time (works great with my USB 3.o external drive), however it and the UD-3000 are not a match made in heaven. After some tinkering I am able to get non-display aspects of the product working, but the display is literally a no-show. While the service is running the icon is not present in the taskbar, for one thing. I have attempted all of the various troubleshooting steps, drivers, etc. to no avail.
I’m beginning to wonder whether this arrangement of docking station through USB 3.o adapter isn’t going to work, but I don’t know where to begin to resolve the issue. It seems that it should work.
