Plugable tbt-6950pd keeps disconnecting and reconnecting

Brand new plugable tbt-6950pd.
I’ve got two ASUS 1080p screens for my Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2.
It keeps disconnecting and reconnecting the monitors.
I’ve manually installed the drivers required just in case it didn’t automatically install.
Not sure what I’m doing wrong

Hi Sal,

Thank you for posting! We are sorry things are not working as expected while using your TBT-6950PD docking station, and we would be happy to help.

Based on your description of the behavior, our next step is to get some additional information.

Can you please send an email to our direct support email address → support@plugable.com with ‘For ticket #- 462317’ in the subject line that contains the following information?:

  1. The Amazon Order ID number for your TBT-6950PD purchase

  2. The specific model number of the ASUS displays in use

For example, ‘ProArt Display PA32UCXR’ or ‘ZenScreen Touch MB16AMTR’

If you are unsure which models you are using, for your reference that information is typically printed on the back of the display.

  1. If possible, while the TBT-6950PD is connected to your Surface laptop and the ASUS displays are connected to the TBT-6950PD (even if not working as expected) the output of our diagnostic utility PlugDebug → https://plugable.com/pages/plugdebug

If the unexpected behavior prevents that from being possible, please disconnect the TBT-6950PD from your Surface and then run PlugDebug.

All of that information combined will help us to determine the next steps.

*** Please do NOT post the information we requested above here in our public forum (it contains personally identifiable information) ***

Apologies for the frustration, and thank you for giving us the chance to help!
