I’m having connectivity issues with my plugable dock. The USB bus does not see the device at all, but the device works as expected except that 90% of the time when connecting my laptop I have to unplug and plug it back in 4 or 5 times until it connects. Any ideas?
I purchased a new thunderbolt 4 cable to connect it thinking the cable might be an issue. The cable works fine for other devices. Other usb devices (keychron keyboard) show up fine in the usb bus. I’m at a loss.

Thank you for contacting Plugable! I am sorry to hear that your UD-ULTC4K is not working as expected, but I would be happy to help.
The first steps we’ll want to take are to perform a power-cycle of the unit to reset its internal hub chipset. We’ve seen that this can often restore the dock back to a working state when one or more of its functions are not quite working. To do this, please follow these steps:
Disconnect all USB peripherals connected to the dock
Disconnect docking station from host computer, then disconnect the dock’s power adapter from power
Leave unplugged for 1 minute for power to dissipate
Connect docking station initially into power only
Connect docking station to host machine, then connect USB peripherals and test for functionality
In case the issue continues after trying this, can you please send an email to our direct support email address (support@plugable.com) with “For ticket # 503285” in the subject line? In the email, please include the following information:
The Amazon Order ID number for your docking station purchase
While the docking station is connected to your PC (even if not working as expected), the output of our diagnostic utility PlugDebug: https://plugable.com/pages/plugdebug
