Plugable - Disconnecting while using an App

When connecting to calls on my VOIP, the plugable randomly dis-conncets and re-connects, causing me to be unable to answer or make phone calls from my computer any longer.

I have tried to plug the unit directly into the wall. I have tried disconnecting the WIFI, and it still has the issue.

I have a Dell Latitude 3580 64-bit with a Intel i–7500U
