Plugable 7 Port Hub not recognizing for Mouse/Keyboard

Plugable USB2-HUB-AG7 7-Port USB 2.0 Hub With 3A Power Adapter:

I am trying to use this product with my Raspberry Pi (Raspbian) and the Hub does not recognize the USB Bluetooth receivers for my Mouse or Keyboard. When I plug them in directly to the Pi they work fine, but nothing happens when plugged into the Hub. I’ve also tried plugging the Pi into the wall for power itself and am still having the same issue. Only the top red light on the Hub lights up.

Hi Randy,

Thank you for posting your question about using the USB 2.0 7-port hub with the Raspberry Pi. I’m sorry it is not working for you. I can help you with that.

Does the hub work with the Pi if you plug in a wired mouse or keyboard?

Also, with the mouse plugged in, could you please run the following commands, and send the resulting text file to support@plugable.com with “Ticket 38817” as the subject line?

dmesg > 38817.txt
lsusb >> 38817.txt

After running the commands, the 38817.txt file should be in your home directory.

Thank you,

David

Hi Randy,

I’m just checking back to see if you were able to get the hub working with your Bluetooth mouse and keyboard.

Thank you,

David
