Please help

I need to know if the UGA-165 USB 2.0 to VGA/DVI/HDMI adaptor can be connected to a USB 2.0 on my Gateway GT4024 computer and the other end of the adapter will connect to my LED HD TV using either the VGA or DMI ports. Thanks.

Hi Ahmad,

Thanks for posting here! You can use the Plugable UGA-165 to connect your TV to the Gateway GT4024 system. We would recommend connecting through VGA instead of HDMI though.

This is because the way TVs work is different from standard monitors. Most TVs are better equipped to render display from a Computer through the VGA ports. When you are connected by vga, the TV acts like a monitor and displays the resolution that you send to it.When you use HDMI, the TV thinks the signal is coming from a TV or a DVD player. Since the two work differently, the TV is unable at times to render the display properly.

Hope the above information helps! If you need any additional information, just shoot us an email at support@plugable.com. We are here to help!
