Please Help Set-up---Surface Pro 2 and Dell S2240T Touch Screen Monitor--Wish to use only USB from Plugable to Surface Pro

Folks, Kindly guide me in setting up our Surface Pro 2 with the Dell Touch Screen External Monitor. First, I downloaded the drivers on the Surface. When I first started the set up, I connected the HDMI from the monitor to the Plugable unit, I saw the display on both screens—I was happy to see that it worked. This means I will only plug one USB to the tablet. Before I purchased the Plugable, I had to plug the USB connenction fromt he Monitor to the Surface (left side of the Surface) – for the external display to work. Then on the right side of the surface is the external monitor input using an HDMI (with an adapter). So after I got the Plugable, I was hoping that I will only use the USB and only the USB.
But the display disappeared when I happened to slightly bumped or touched HDMI --as it was synching. Please assist. larrybelen@gmail.com I have touched base with your office before my purchase and sent pictures as well.

Thanks for getting in contact with us. I’d be more than happy to help you with your Plugable display product. In order to better assist you, I’ll need a bit of additional information.

FIrst, does disconnecting and reconnecting the entire setup change the behavior at all?

In addition, could you please provide the logs produced by our tool Plugdebug when the adapter is connected to your Surface Pro 2, you can find it here and then send them to me at support@plugable.com.

Once we have those logs, we’ll start trying to figure out what exactly is going on with your setup.
