only 30 hz on 2560x1440?

Hi there, I connected my lap top(gtx680/16g/i7-2.4) with a 4k monitor(AOC U2879VF) using usb3.0-dp adaptor, comparing with using hdmi cable at 1080p, the lag is noticeable, and the refresh rate shown on Geforce Experience and https://www.testufo.com/ is 30hz, not as advertised 50hz, that’s actually the reason I’m buying this device.

Is there anyway to have 50hz? I tried reboot and different usb3.0 ports, didnt work though

thx

Hello Danny, thanks for posting and I will be happy to help!

Thank you for the description of the behavior you are seeing. Would you be able to confirm that 60Hz is not an available refresh rate under the Display Adapter Properties window, similar to the below example screenshot?

Our UGA-4KDP adapter support 3440x1440 resolutions at a maximum of 50Hz and 2560x1440 resolutions at a maximum of 60Hz, so I would actually expect you to be able to display at 60Hz. I would like to confirm the options you are presented with because these settings do not always automatically apply.

Thank you,

David W.
