Old drive from Lenovo Y560

Hello I have a Hitachi SATA drive #0A73295 out of a Lenovo Y560 that bought the farm. Is there a docking station that I can use to access this drive? Which one will allow me to plug this into an alternative laptop via a USB port?

Hi Dan,

Thank you for posting your question.

Since your drive is out of a laptop, it is probably a 2.5 inch drive and will work in any of our docking stations.

Because it is a 2.5 inch drive, I recommend one of our Plugable Storage System docking stations. Each offers an advantage beyond just accessing your drive.

The PSS-SDH1 (http://plugable.com/products/pss-sdh1) offers a USB 3.0 hub that allows you to connect other devices to a USB 3.0 port on your computer. Of course it also compatible with USB 2.0.

The PSS-SDC1 (http://plugable.com/products/pss-sdc1) offers three 1A charging ports that can be used to quickly charge smartphones or other devices that charge from a USB charging port.

The PSS-DD1 (http://plugable.com/products/pss-dd1) lets you access two 2.5 inch drives at the same time (they can’t be swapped in and out independently), or make a copy of one drive onto another.

I hope this information helps. Please feel free to ask any more questions.
