I have only one monitor attached. I am on a Dell Latitude 5420. My monitor is an Asus 23 inch. I attached it to the Pluggable 3.0 UD-3900 via the VGA adapter plugged into the DVI port. I am not able to change the resolution on the monitor and it is set to the highest resolution. That doesn’t work for my old eyes but I cannot find a way to change the resolution on the monitor. My OS is Win 10.
Hi Gary,
Thank you for posting! I am sorry things are not working as expected while using your Plugable UD-3900 docking station, and I would be happy to help.
Based on your description of the behavior, our next step is to get some additional information.
Can you please send an email to our direct support email address → support@plugable.com with ‘For ticket #- 443840’ in the subject line that contains the following information?:
- The Amazon Order ID number for your UD-3900 purchase
For your reference, that information is typically available from here → https://amazon.com/orders
- The specific model number of your Asus display.
For example, ‘ASUS BE24EQK’
If you are unsure which specific model you are using, that information is typically printed on the back of the display.
- While the UD-3900 is connected to your Dell Latitude laptop and the ASUS display is connected to the UD-3900 (even if not working as expected), the output of our diagnostic utility PlugDebug → https://plugable.com/pages/plugdebug
That information combined will help us to determine the next steps.
*** IMPORTANT NOTE - Please do NOT post the information we requested above here in our public forum (it contains personally identifiable information) ***
Apologies again for the frustration, and thank you for giving us the chance to help!
Bob

For the benefit of anyone else following this thread, this issue has been resolved.
In this specific case, the source of the issue was that the Asus display had not been selected within the Windows ‘Display Settings’ application. Once the Asus display had been selected within Display Settings, it was then possible to change the display’s resolution.
