I was expecting this to work with a Raspberry Pi Zero W given the description and comments on Amazon, but I don’t get any link lights when I plug it into my Pi, and no ethernet device shows up in Linux. When I connect it to my Android phone, I get link lights immediately, and Android switches to using ethernet for a connection.
