I have a 200x usb microscope and win 7. It ceased to work some time ago after an update, but I needed to use it and tried again, downloading viewer 3.1.7 package. The camera is recognised by the system and Device Manger tells me it’s working. The software sees it as Venus usb2 camera, but all I can get is a black screen. I have no idea how to get an image, I have tries all available settings and not a flicker. I’d welcome some help please.

If it ceased to function some time ago, using a different software package is unlikely to help. Can you elaborate more on the circumstances under which the device failed?
