Thanks for reaching out to us, I’d be more than happy to assist you with your Plugable USB3-HDMI-DVI display adapter and resolving the issue you are having with the audio.
When the USB3-HDMI-DVI display adapter is set up and connected to the laptop and TV, can you go into the ‘Sound’ panel and verify that the default audio playback device is set to the USB3-HDMI-DVI display adapter.

If not set as the default audio device can you please change it so that the Plugable device is the default playback device.

After consulting with Cheryl via email, we we’re able to get things working properly by completely reinstalling the DisplayLink drivers using these steps:

Disconnect the adapter from the computer.

Run the DisplayLink Cleaner tool to completely uninstall existing DisplayLink Software:

Download driver v7.6 M2 from the below link and follow the installation prompts.

Reboot the computer.

Replug the adapter to the computer. Allow several minutes for the driver to enumerate and for the firmware upgrade to complete.
