I had connection to the internet via the Ethernet cable, but not I can’t access the internet unless I plug directly into the PC. Any ideas why?

With the Ethernet connection no longer working properly, did the Ethernet work properly before now?
In addition, can you provide a bit of detail regarding your network setup. (e.g. Are there any routers or switches? Are the cables half or full duplex?)
