"No DP Signal" Message from Monitors using UD-3900

Hello. I’m using a Windows 10 Laptop, new Dell E2420H Monitor(s) and a UD-3900 Docking Station. Using the VGA or DP input on the monitor to the UD-3900, the monitor does not get any signal. Can you help me?

Hi Brian,

Thank you for joining our forums, we are always happy to help with your questions and I’m sorry to hear about the issue you’re seeing with our device.

Using one of your monitors connected by VGA to the dock using the DVI to VGA adapter that comes with the dock should work to connect one of your monitors and I’ll follow up by email to help see if we can get this working for you.

However, using a second monitor with its VGA port would require a HDMI to VGA active adapter like our Plugable HDMI-VGA https://plugable.com/products/hdmi-vga

Since I’d normally recommend using the DisplayPort inputs on your monitors instead of the VGA inputs, I’d recommend using a device with DisplayPort outputs like our new UD-6950Z https://plugable.com/products/ud-6950z instead of the UD-3900 dock.

I’ll reach out by email to discuss further details about your setup and will update this post with more information once we identify the cause of the issue.

Thanks!
-Andrew
