No Colors with My Pugable Microscope!

My plugable 2.0 usb microscope does not pick up colors when trying to photo shoot diamonds, my eyes see rainbows of colors, the image is only bright whitish black & white. This is the best as I can explain it. Is there a way to improve this image on my MacBook Pro?

Thank you for your post! Unfortunately, this subject matter has a lack of color contrast which is most likely why the microscope and Digital Viewer software is automatically adjusting the image for what it believes to be the best image.

You can adjust these settings along with additional fine tuning in the Digital Viewer program by going to Settings (the cog wheel) > More… to find the expanded settings window. In here there are many adjustments you can make to your image.

Thanks for responding, I still have issues with the automatic adjusting software. What it believes is the best is not always the correct choice, example I would place a post it note (yellow) under the camera, it starts out fine nice yellow then it adjusts and it get washed out to green or gray, I would like the nice yellow back, please! Is there anyway to by pass the auto adjust and do it manually?

It sounds like you may have an older version of our microscope. The previous chipset does not have as many options in the Digital Viewer as the latest version of our microscope.

I’m sorry we were unable to optimize the settings for this device and your subject matter. Unfortunately the Mac version of our software is limited due to restrictions with the Apple universal drivers.
