Need a recommendation on USB Dock for my HP ENVY X360. Either Dual or Tri monitor.

I have two computers configured the same. But one with have a Dual monitor setup and the 2nd with most likely have 3 monitors. HP# 15m-bq121dx

Hi Damian,

Thanks for reaching out to us, I am happy to answer your questions!

Based on your description, our USB 3.0 Dual Display Docking Station UD-3900 ( https://plugable.com/products/ud-3900 ) may be a good fit. This docking station supports two external monitors up to 1080P ( 1920x1080 ) resolution, one connected to the HDMI output and one connected to the DVI output ( this can be converted to VGA with the supplied adapter or to HDMI with a separate adapter ). Additionally, this docking station has four USB 2.0 ports ideal for mouse and keyboard, two USB 3.0 ports, gigabit Ethernet, 3.5mm stereo headphone output, and 3.5mm microphone input. This docking station does not charge the host computer, the original power supply that came with your system will be necessary to charge while in use.

For adding a third monitor, a USB 3.0 to HDMI/DVI/VGA Graphics Adapter ( https://plugable.com/products/uga-3000 ) will provide an additional output for a 1920x1080 display, this can be connected to one of the USB 3.0 ports on the docking station.

Unfortunately, HP does not share specific information if the USB-C port on this system supports any additional features or if it is strictly USB 3.0 only. From our previous testing and information from customer testing this notebook series is not compatible with our USB-C docking stations.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
