My Plugable UGA-2K-A no longer works with my AlienWare M17x

My AlienWare M17x keeps crashing when I use the Plugable UGA-2K-A. It worked fine until the last 3 months. I updated my video drivers (which are from NVIDIA and Intel) and then the problems started. I had to uninstall the DisplayPort software completely to stop the computer from freezing and having blue screens.
My computer was also failing to shut-down or bootup if the adapter was plugged in.

The adapter worked great until the video driver updates a few months ago.
Any ideas? Any planned updates for the DisplayPort software that could address this problem?

Could you run the DisplayLink support tool (instructions here: http://plugable.com/support/displayli… ) and email the resulting .zip to support@plugable.com along with your Amazon Order ID and a link to this thread?

This would give us a better insight as to what is going on. Once we analyze it, we can figure out the next steps.
