My laptop display panel gets disabled when Plugable USB-VGA-165 is connected.

Hi,
I am using Plugable USB-VGA-165 USB to VGA Adapter.

When I try to connect it to my VAIO SVS15123CXS laptop, it works but laptop lcd screen turns black (seems disabled).
Windows cannot detect the laptop screen when Plugable USB-VGA-165 is connected.

Laptop: Sony VAIO SVS15123CXS
OS:Windows 7 Pro 64bit
VGA: Built-in HD4000
Driver Version : 7.2.47873.0
Monitor : 2 external LED Monitors. (one connected to HDMI port of the laptop, the other thru Plugable USB-VGA-165)

The 2 external monitors work OK but not the laptop panel!
Any help?

Hi Hyunsu,

Thanks for posting your question here, we’d be glad to help! Let’s first take a look at your Display Setting configurations:

  1. Right click anywhere on your desktop and select Screen Resolution.

  2. Here you should see 3 monitors listed, if you select your native monitor, are you able to select “extend these displays” next to the “Multiple Displays” field?

Thanks,
Ellen

Ellen,

I have managed to work all 3 monitors after updating the usb3 device driver.

Thank you, Ellen for your response!
