Both computers are loaded with programs and cable plugged in, security system turned off and still it says, waiting for connection

Welcome to the Plugable forums and we can certainly help look into this waiting for connection issue while using our USB Transfer Cables.
It may be possible that there may be an out of date version of Easy Computer Sync on one of your desktops. Lets try uninstalling the software on both computers and installing the latest version of Easy Computer Sync and I will leave a link to that download page down below.
To uninstall software on Windows you can simply type in “Add or remove programs” in the Windows search bar and the first result should be an option for the control panel. From there a list of applications will appear and selecting Easy Computer Sync will show an option to “uninstall”.
Once the up to date software is installed please give another try to establish a connection and let me know how this goes. Make sure the Easy Computer Sync software is opened on each computer while establishing a connection. Please let us know if these troubleshooting steps help and I hope your testing works out.
