I have watched the videos of the Plugable technologies products for 4 monitors for a laptop computer. In this case it is a Microsoft Surface book.
It seems that you need a UD-3900 Docking station for the first 2 additional monitors and then a Plugable UGA-3000 Multi Display adapter for each additional monitorMy question - is this correct?

WI try and find the Amazon product for the “UGA-3000 Multi Display adapter” I am told " We didn’t find results for “UGA-3000 MULTI DISPLAY ADAPTER” in Plugable."
They suggest a:-
“Plugable USB 3.0 to VGA / DVI / HDMI Video Graphics Adapter for Multiple Monitors up to 2048x1152 / 1920x1080 (Supports Windows 10, 8.1, 7, XP)
by Plugable Technologies”

This sounds like what I want but why does the founder of Plugable technologies in the video regarding adding 4 screens to a Microsoft Surface Pro say that “I need the aforementioned UGA-3000” adapter for each additional screen and Amazon has no idea as to what I am talking about.
All I want are the devices to get my 4 screens going on my Microsoft surface book 4

Hi Greg, thanks for posting and I will be happy to help.

Although you do not mention the specific monitors you’d like to connect, the method you describe using one of our UD-3900 docks ( and two UGA-3000 adapters ( to work when connected to the USB 3.0 port on your Surface Book.

Please be aware that our dock and graphics adapter require DisplayLink software drivers to be installed in order to work. DisplayLink (the manufacturer of the chipset and author of the drivers) has created a compatibility check tool here -->… to help determine if your system is compatible with the required software.

If you decide to proceed with a purchase, we offer a 30-day no hassle return policy at if you find that our products do not meet your needs.

Thank you,

David W.
