Monitors not working after Mac mini M4 reboot

Hello,

I recently purchased a Mac min M4 that I share peripherals with a laptop through a UD-3900 and a KVM switch. When rebooting I have to plug one monitor directly into the mini to login and then switch the cable back to the dock. Is there a way to have the monitors remain connected to the dock after a reboot?

Thank you.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Plugable! I am sorry to hear that your UD-3900 docking station is not functioning as expected, and would be happy to provide additional support.

Regarding your Mac Mini, DisplayLink-based docks require the software to be active to work as expected, so you will need to manually connect a monitor to log in, where as the laptop has a built-in screen for this setp.

Unfortunately, this is not something we can control on our end, and is dependent on each specific host system.

However, if the current workaround is unsatisfactory, I would be happy to assist with a direct return to our warehouse for a full refund instead.

Thanks for your patience while we work to help!
