monitor no signal pluggable 3.0

I have a surface and win 8.1 and connected with DVI cable and I get no signal. I assume it recognizes the device because when I disconnect the cable the monitor says no cable connected. I just got this today I really don’t want to have to return it.

Could you please provide the logs produced by our tool Plugdebug, you can find it here and then send them to me at support@plugable.com.

Simply download our tool Plugdebug and run the program.
http://plugable.com/support/plugdebug

Once it has finished running, it should produce a .zip file that ends up on your desktop. Then, if you could please send it to us at support@plugable.com.

For whatever reason it need to be updated and it did not update on the initial connection when I downloaded the tool updates started and now I get a signal on my monitor.
