Monitor is recognized but not displaying with UGA-165

I originally hooked my 3rd monitor (ASUS HDMI) using a VGA cord to USB with UGA-165 adapter, but the monitor was slightly blurry.

In order to combat the blurriness, I then used an HDMI cord from the monitor to the DVI adapter into the UGA-165 to the USB. The monitor is recognized when I look at the Screen Resolution window, and I can tell it is on because I seem to be able to move my mouse onto it, BUT the monitor is not displaying anything…it’s a black screen.

Any ideas?
