I have a phone that is compatible with the USB2-OTGE100. It works just fine, however, I was wondering about a potential use. Honestly it’s why I bought it. I want to be able to access a network via the following: my laptop>wifi hotspot on phone>USB-ETH>network switch. I work in an industry where I often have to access a switch with equipment in it. And sometimes I have to make changes too far away for a hardwired connection. I was hoping I could use this to connect instead of carrying around a wireless router. This unit works, but when I turn on wifi hotspot it disables the USB>ETH adapter.
I hope this makes sense.
Hi Mark,
Sorry for the late response. Thank you for posting the question here.

Unfortunately, I think the Android system supposed to work in that way. Most of the cases when WiFi is turned on, the Ethernet is disabled, or switched automatically to WiFi. I don’t think this is something that an USB to Ethernet adapter can control.
Sorry about this bad news but hope this helps!

Sachiko
