Mixed monitors with UD-3900

Dual monitors on UD-3900: can one be in portrait mode and one landscape? I am running Win8.1 on a Dell XPS15 64bit with USB3.0 (i7-4702HQ with 16Gb, Nvidia GeoForce GT750M 2Gb).
I rely on a portrait monitor to read historic documents, but a landscape screen would be better for Excel. Do I still use my laptop screen too? Sorry to ask so many questions!

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to us, I’d be happy to answer your question regarding our UD-3900.

It is possible to set the orientation of each external monitor connected via the UD-3900. This can be done in the screen resolution panel.

As to whether the original laptop screen needs to be used, it is best to continue to use that monitor as the USB displays are not designed to be primary monitors.
