Microphone not working with 2 x 3.5mm to usb adapter

Hello,

I am using a “Plugable USB Audio Adapter with 3.5mm Speaker-Headphone and Microphone Jack” to connect my headset to my computer but only the audio output is working. Windows detects the “Plugable USB audio device” as both an input and output device. Oddly the headset works perfectly if I use 2 x 3.5mm to 1 x 3.5mm adapter with a 1 x 3.5mm to usb adapter. Any advice on how to get the Plugable adapter working?

OS: Windows 10
Headset: EPOS gsp 300

Hello Matt,

Welcome to the Plugable forums and I can assist with this issue with our USB-AUDIO not detecting your microphone Input in Windows.

There are a few steps we can take to adjust some audio settings within Windows to get the audio input working properly.

If you are using an application such as Zoom, Discord, or any other app that involves audio Input, it may be best to check the settings of that app to select the proper Input device within the app.

On the Windows side, I would recommend following the steps from our knowledge base article on how to set our USB-AUDIO as the Input and Output device.

How to Change Your Default Audio Device to Your Plugable Product

Please let me know if these steps help and I hope the follow up testing works out well.
