I have a 2011 macbook pro and I have recently bought a Acer XB280HK monitor. I bought the USB3 - Display Port adapter. I have downloaded the drivers, My laptop recognises the monitor but the monitor says no signal on it.
To be transparent, we do not recommend our USB graphics adapters for use with Mac systems at this time, but we see improvements being made on newer Mac systems. Unfortunately, yours may fall outside of the newer systems running “Metal 2 support” which improves Mac/DisplayLink performance.
With that said, I’ll be happy to investigate as much as we can.
Would you be able to let us know the MacOS version you are running and the version of the DisplayLink drivers you had installed?
Hi Jonathan, thanks for the reply. It sounds like you have the required DisplayLink version for MacOS High Sierra, however DisplayLink has recently released version 4.1. Could you attempt to uninstall version 4.0 and then install version 4.1 from here –> http://www.displaylink.com/downloads/… ? We’ve published uninstall / installation instructions here –> https://plugable.com/drivers/displayl… if interested.
