Is this device compatible with the new M1-based Mac Mini?

While we have not specifically tested the new M1 based Mac Mini, we have tested our Thunderbolt 3 drive with an M1 MacBook. We do expect compatibility to be the same for the Mini as it is using the same M1 implementation as the MacBooks.

I was finding that the drive disconnects/reconnects every five minutes (exactly) on my M1-based Mac mini. I restarted. I tried both ports and it was happening with either. I was able to format it and I can read/write files. But if it disconnects/reconnects every five minutes, I can’t really use it for anything.

(This is a brand new drive.)

I just installed macOS 11.0.1 and it seems to have fixed the issue. Yay!
